부산 시가지가 훤히 내려다보이는 천마산로 초입에 자리한 이곳은 가난했던 시절 주민들이 단칸방을 여러 개로 쪼개어 마치 기차 칸처럼 나누어 살았던 모습을 추억하며 기찻집 예술체험장이라 이름 붙인 복합예술공간입니다.

기존의 폐가와 빈집을 리모델링해 아담한 간이역을 옮겨놓은 듯 멋스럽게 꾸민 카페 공간에서는 커피 등 음료와 직접 만든 디저트를 판매하고 있습니다.
동네 젊은 어머니들이 일궈낸 마을공동체 기업 ‘아미맘스’가 운영하는 기찻집 예술체험장은 예술작가 작업실과 문화 체험실을 갖추고 다양한 프로그램을 운영 중입니다. 주민은 물론 관광객 누구나 쿠키 만들기, 팔찌 만들기, 비누 만들기 등을 체험할 수 있습니다.

기찻집 예술체험장은 아미동 사람들에게는 삶을 나누는 사랑방이고, 관광객에게는 부산 산복도로 마을의 정감 넘치는 모습과 맛있는 음료, 다양한 예술 프로그램을 경험할 수 있는 이색 힐링 공간으로 주목받고 있습니다.
