The International Logistic & Trade Base of Marine Products, located in Mojipo in front of Gamcheon Port, is currently under construction to create more jobs and lay the groundwork in becoming an advanced 21st century marine city.
Ever since const5ruction of the Joint Seafood Wholesale Market was completed in 2005, more related facilities neared completion. When the entire project is complete, the Depot will take seafood distribution to a new level.
The International Logistic & Trade Base of Marine Products, located in Mojipo in front of Gamcheon Port, is currently under construction and is expected to modernize seafood distribution in time for the free trade policies on seafood that come into effect in the near future. It is also expected to improve Korea’s international competitive edge, lay the foundation in becoming an advanced marine city, and create more jobs.
Once complete, it will be the largest international seafood distribution and trade center in northeast Asia. The project began in 1995 and the Joint Seafood Wholesale Market was completed in 2005. Other facilities within the Depot are also nearing completion.
