Namhangdaegyo Bridge

Namhangdaegyo opened in July 2008 connecting Amnam-dong of Seo-gu with Yeongseon-dong of Yeongdo-gu. The sea bridge was constructed over ten years since it first began in 1997.
The landscape lights illuminate the beautiful ocean at South Port at night. There is a 3-meter wide pedestrian road on the side of the bridge closer to the inner harbor so that citizens can walk freely. The bridge, frequented by residents and tourists alike, offers a view of South Port and Busan’s coastline.

Namhangdaegyo Bridge opened in July 2008 connecting Amnam-dong of Seo-gu with Yeongseon-dong of Yeongdo-gu and took ten years to build since 1997 with a budget of KRW 355 billion.

Namhangdaegyo Bridge completed the chain between Busan New Port, Noksan Industrial Complex, Myeongjidaegyo Bridge, South Port, North Port, Gwangan-daero, Suyeong-daero, and all the way to Gyeongbu Expressway that connects major ports. Not only did this make distribution much smoother, it shortened the distance between Seo-gu and Yeongdo-gu.

The landscape lights on the bridge are themed as ‘the gateway to the new century’ and lights up the night sea every night. There is a 3-meter wide pedestrian road on the inner side of the bridge that is open to the public. Many residents and tourists cross the bridge on foot to view South Port and Busan’s coastline.
